No, the system is designed to be installed in existing dwellings and replaces existing decora switches

 

* Do the light switchs still function independently ?

Yes each switch will still turn on & off the same lights as before

 

* Can the program be backed up ?

Yes the black box’s settings are backed up on disc, the system can be restored easily

 

* What are the advantages of doing the whole house ?

* What happens if a ‘ blackout or Hydro failure occurs ‘?                                                                                           The insteon system retains it’s memory and will function normally upon restoration of power.
